THE IRISHMAN: 3.7

Please see my review on Inception when we discuss this movie. I want to repeat from that review: THIS IS A SAFE PLACE. A PLACE OF HONESTY. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PRETEND HERE. Ok good now that we got that out of the way, and we are comfortable and safe. THIS MOVIE BLOWWWWWWS. I wish there was a caps lock to the caps lock for special occasions of emphasis. Holy crap where do I start.

Well for one. Robert Deniro was in his SEVENTIES when this movie was made. SEVENTIES. His role in this movie is a mob enforcer who goes around and physically beats people up. Are you fucking kidding me? We we just supposed to pretend we do not know his age? Or we to ignore that fact that he LOOKS OLD even with all the make up? I mean come on. It is embarrassing.

Or how about basically this feels like a really great tv show that does one of those 30 year later specials. This was like goodfellas reunion but everyone is really old. It again, is embarrassingly bad.

Also the time. Holy crap. 3 hours? Of what? There is such wasted time. Next to zero good or interesting dialogue. It is so boring. This movie won all these awards and it really like they just did it to be polite. Like oh, Al Pacino and Scorcese and Pesci and De Niro lets all just say it’s good because they all have had amazing careers.

I thought this movie was EXTREMELY LAME. Not to mention the story line, just bland. Not the least bit interesting. Again, it was like I’ve seen this script with these guys like 10 times already why are we doing this in the 2020s. You have been warned. This movie absolutely STINKS. That is a review.
