THE COURIER: 7.1

Based on a true story. As I always say, there is no shot there is ever a true story that is a bad movie. Or else its REALLY hard. (See ted k review). Because usually it is so interesting or else it wouldn’t be a movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch stars as an English businessman who is recruited by the CIA and M16 to help them work with a Russian traitor during the Cold War to acquire top secret nuclear information. He is chosen because he is a man that is thought would be under the radar, as he is just a simple business man from England.

Everything is going great for a long time, until it is not. The jig eventually is up and after many missions to Moscow, the main character is found out. But in doing so, after all the trips, he was able to smuggle out of Russia enough info about Russias plans in Cuba that it single handily stopped the Cold War and Russias presence of nuclear arms in Cuba. It is a fucking CRAZY story.

This is a REALLY GOOD MOVIE. Engaged start to finish. Scary too, to think about what might have been if not for some brave folks during this time. That is a review.
