CONFESSION: I absolutely LOVE Ryan Gosling. He’s never done wrong in his life. He is an unstoppable force and an immovable object at the same time. He has never been in a movie less that great, and he is just the SUPPORTING CAST in this movie. Christian Bale, Ryan, Steve Carrell, Brad Pitt, Kendall Roy from Succession (whatever his name is) with appearances from Margot Robbie, Selena Gomez and more. I mean.. Just look at that cast. I told you, I am an absolute sucker for based on true story movies too. This movie about the 2008 financial collapse in the United States is absolutely an OUTSTANDING MASTERPIECE and if you haven’t seen it, go watch it right now.
What happened in 2008 was pretty complex and the ugliest moment in our countries history The Big Short tells the story of what exactly happened, while explaining it masterfully as well as telling the story of the few people that made millions off of the event. The acting in this movie is nothing short of superb. I scored it a 10. Steve Carrell, maybe his best role ever. This movie will teach you, make you go into deep introspective thinking, put you through a roller coaster of feels that will literally just have you at the end stunned.
Honestly, if visuals wasn’t one of my criteria, this would be an even higher score. Stop whatever you are doing right now, and go watch this movie if you have not. That is a review.
