STATE OF PLAY: 6.4

Literally the same level of enjoyment as BABEL. Dead even. Knew that before even doing the score. So skipped it. First time in my career. But this was a 6.4 movie. Just middle of the road SOLID FILM.

All star cast really. Big 3 of Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams. Not bad. And a bunch of HEY THAT PERSON. I do not know if Robin Wright is popular enough for the average fan. She’s for sure a HEY THAT LADY. I guess if you watched house of cards she is big. ANNNNNNYYYYYway.

Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams team up to figure out just what the hell happened to a congressman’s employee who gets pushed in front of train. Affleck is the congressman. He is having an affair with said girl. He is also head a MAJOR investigation into a private military organization that he suspects is responsible for major financial gains off of war complex. A very powerful organization he is trying to take down but now is mixed up in the death of his lead researcher who he was also sleeping with. Things get more complicated and more surprises come out in this whodunnit that keeps you pretty much guessing the whole way about what the hell is going on and who is responsible. It is pretty fun and ending is good enough. Worth a watch. That is a review.
