Welcome! I hope you enjoy reading my reviews as much as I enjoy writing them!

My name is Matthew. I watch A LOT of movies. Come here for movie recommendations and or to see if you feel the same way about a movie as me. My self created movie review system is simple. 7 categories for a movie. 1. How was the storytelling ? 2. Was it thought provoking? 3. Did it make you FEEL something? 4. How was the acting? 5. How were the visuals? 6. Was it interesting? 7. What was the overall enjoyment. Each category I score 1 through 10, I add total and divide it by the amount of categories (7) and BOOM, there is a score. Good system, from a person who is not a snobby movie reviewer, just an average guy who LOVES to watch movies. Now, once I have a number, it has to fall into a category.

Here are the 5 places a movie will land. A score between 9-10: OUTSTANDING MASTERPIECE drop what you are doing and go watch this movie right now, an absolute legendary film. 8-9: EXCELLENT FUCKING MOVIE requires a watch ASAP. 7-8: REALLY GOOD MOVIE add this to your list immediately. 6-7: SOLID FILM it did its job of entertaining you and you are not walking away disappointed. BELOW A 6: THIS MOVIE STINKS. Tell someone you hate its good and to watch it.

  • TRIPLE 9: 6.2

    TRIPLE 9: 6.2

This cast is actually fucking insane. Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, like 8 HEY THAT GUYS, some are more than a HEY THAT GUY but its early and I do not remember their names, but it is a really kinda star studded cast. The plot is cool. It is a thriller about dirty cops who work…

  • REBEL MOON: PART 1 A CHILD OF FIRE: 6.5

REBEL MOON: PART 1 A CHILD OF FIRE: 6.5

I think this is the farthest off I have ever been from Rotten Tomatoes? But once I found out they get paid for their scores, that bothers me zero. I have no idea if this is a book series? A part of another series of movies? Never have I ever heard of this Rebel Moon…

  • GONE BABY GONE: 8.3

    GONE BABY GONE: 8.3

I am a broken record but Casey Affleck is just SO SEVERELY underrated. I have never seen him in a sub 7 movie. Just flies under the radar as a stellar actor and the roles he takes just always seem to be perfect. This is actually a star studded cast too. Besides him, Morgan Freeman,…

  • THE CREATOR: 6.7

    THE CREATOR: 6.7

This might be the first time I went in to the scoring system and got it COMPLETELY wrong. I did not expect this score to be this high. AT all. Honestly I did not think it would crack 6. Not bad though, for 180 reviews so far, first one that totally threw me off. Eye…

  • THE SILENCING: 6.1

    THE SILENCING: 6.1

Jaime Lannister (his real name is way too hard to type) starts in this movie. Heads up, he has a couple good movies on Netflix or other sites. None stink none great but good. He has a under the radar collection. I like him as an actor. In this movie he plays a grieving wildlife…

  • A PERFECT DAY: 6.4

    A PERFECT DAY: 6.4

Not based on a true story but one of those where it kinda is. A movie about war. In the Balkan part of Europe. This is a story about war. I guess an unseen side of war? It is kind of amazing they keep coming up with movies to show more sides of war. This…

  • KILLER OF THE FLOWER MOON: 7.4

KILLER OF THE FLOWER MOON: 7.4

Been doing this long enough now to basically know EXACTLY where a movie will fall score wise before I even do my calculation. I still do it, but I can tell, at least which category it will fall in. I KNEW as soon as it this finished this was a 7. It is a lower…

  • PROMETHEUS: 8.1

    PROMETHEUS: 8.1

Look I get A LOT of people were frustrated about the ending of the movie ( tried my best not to spoil there ) and I get it, but it does not take away from the fact, this is an EXCELLENT FUCKING FILM. I was locked in from literally the first second the movie started…

  • A WALK IN THE WOODS: 6

A WALK IN THE WOODS: 6

Again, Netflix must have my reading list on its mind, because another book I read they turned into a movie. Unlike “Leave the World Behind” this did not come close to the movie being the book. The movie is pretty simple. Robert Redford is bored with his mundane life and he decides he needs an…

  • THE COMMUTER: 6.5

    THE COMMUTER: 6.5

HOW THE FUCK DOES LIAM NEESON DO IT. It does not matter if he’s in a boat a train an airplane a car on foot in a bus in the andes mountains on the canopy of the amazon jungle he is going to be a 60 year old man who somehow defies all laws of…
