Extraction 2: 7.9

For starters, I have NOT seen Extraction 1, but after watching this and reading about 1, completely unnecessary for a review. I gave this move a straight 10 for overall enjoyment. I enjoyed every second of it. This is a REALLY GOOD MOVIE, right on the border overlooking, peeking down on EXCELLENT FUCKING FILM. Just a straight action film. Chris Hemsworth (who I find to be underrated as fuck) is hired to complete a job by Idris Elba to extract a woman and her kids from a prison in Georgia they are basically being held captive at by their mob husband/dad who is serving a sentence there. Idris Elba I am a sucker for and he’s in the film for 4 min max and is a 10/10 in these 4 min. Sometimes these movies can be so corny, but honestly, it might have been the best movie visually for kill shots I have ever seen. Very real fight scenes, not sloppy, incredible action shots, incredible diversity in all of the destruction and kills that all come from the Georgian crime family as they realize that the family of their boss is being kidnapped (well kinda, the wife is the one who paid for it, turns out living and raising a family in a Georgian prison with an abusive husband just so he can have his thumb on you is not ideal.) They make Georgian crime families looks insanely scary and they picked the perfect cast for them. The only thing with these movies I laugh at is that its always some private company with like literally unlimited money and resources to get this done and massive destruction with virtually zero police interference. BUT! You are not here for the analytic bullshit. You are here for blood and killing and fun. And god damn you get them all. This is a really fun ride and something that you need to watch when in the mood for fun action with awesome visuals. They are even able to throw in a couple “feels” scenes as they smoothly incorporate small amount of family moments and love. REALLY GOOD MOVIE, get to it, that is a review.
