John Hamm stars in this movie about a man stationed in Beruit working for the CIA to deter terrorism. Everything is going just fine in his life as he has the city very under control and rubbing elbows with government elites. Until it isn’t.
One night at a party at his house terrorists show up and start shooting up the place and causing the death of his wife. Which causes him to leave and vow to never go back. Leave the industry.
Flash forward 10 years, he is needed desperately by the CIA. The terrorist regime in Beruit has a hostage that is a close friend of his, or was, and they will only negotiate with him. This lures him back in the world.
A small twist about who the negotiator is that I will leave out. This move I is a SOLID FILM. Not gonna knock your socks off but solid enough script, John Hamm is good and the Middle East to me is always pretty interesting. That is a review.
