A PERFECT DAY: 6.4

Not based on a true story but one of those where it kinda is. A movie about war. In the Balkan part of Europe. This is a story about war. I guess an unseen side of war? It is kind of amazing they keep coming up with movies to show more sides of war.

This movie involves ZERO killings, zero shootings, zero deaths that we see. But it shows I guess what would be like a group that goes to places that go war torn countries without weapons providing humanitarian aid.

It stars Benicio Del Toro and Tim Robbins. They are both EXCELLENT in it. They are interesting characters and funny. Benicio just his normal cool and great self. It is slow. It is very little action. In fact no action. Just lots of dialogue and relationships. War has an effect on relationships and how we see the world, especially when you see it first hand. It basically revolves around the above mentioned 2, and crew, and their journey to get a man that is dead, and has been thrown in to a local water well, in an attempt to contaminate the water supply of the town, out of the well.

Along the way they are met with lots of bureaucratic red tape, issues with help, issues with supplies and a local boy, who has lost his family. It is a SOLID FILM. I enjoyed it. It was a good story. Made ya think a little. Random love story with Benicio completely unnecessary. But it is a small part of movie. Humble small parts of underfunded organizations that try to help in places of war and the troubles they go through to try and make a positive impact. Would not watch again but glad I did. That is a review.
