TRAINING DAY: 7.4

This movie is funny to rank because I guarantee if you were to ask anyone who grew up in the 90s, without looking at any rating system they would with out a doubt go THAT IS A FUCKING OUTSTANDING MASTERPIECE IT IS THE BEST. Nostalgia is a funny thing.

But this site is not dedicated to nostalgia. I am an agnostic movie critic.

With that being said, I firmly believe this is the perfect score. IF you go back and watch this movie, it is perfectly a really good movie. On the lower end. Closer to really solid than EXCELLENT. This movie is interesting, the acting is good, but there is not much after that. You enjoy it, but not thought provoking, the story telling is a bit shaky the feels are a 7.

Again 7.4 is not a bad movie. IT is a REALLY GOOD MOVIE. But reeks of one people over hype and rate because of nostalgia and Denzel.

Denzel Washington plays the most crooked cop in all of LA and it gets paired with NEWBIE Ethan Hawke. The movie follows Hawkes first day with his new partner who is absolutely insane and extremely crooked. Ethan Hawke straight as it gets, obviously is the wrong person to pair. This causes drama throughout the movie. Both do wonderful job acting and the ending is worth it, lots of great one liners, lots of intense scenes. A really good movie. Nothing more. That is a review.
