This movie got RAVE reviews from many international film critics. Globally it was well received. The acting, they said, by the main actor was GENERATIONAL. Not for me. I did not hate this movie but I certainly didn’t love it. It was very slow and the dialogue was not great. It is labeled as a thriller but honestly it was not that thrilling.
The main character is a suspect in Australias biggest missing persons case. A young boy went missing 8 years ago and is presumed dead. They have not dropped the case and they believe they have their man. They set up a very elaborate operation to trick him into thinking he is joining a crime group and through this they will earn his trust and get him to confess.
The whole movie is spent gaining this mans trust and convincing him that he is apart of this group and that he needs to be honest with them. And he is a man who clearly seeks some sort of companionship. He is a life long criminal who has done time and is seeking new things. So it is not hard to get him aboard.
I dunno, this was a SOLID MOVIE, barely. I did not find it at all thought provoking or interesting, I’ve seen maybe too many good thrillers were I did not find this to be too thrilling. Worth a watch once. That’s is. That is a review.
