Its hard to even know where to start with this as I just saw it and my brain is still digesting it all. But wow. OUTSTANDING MASTERPIECE.
My initial reactions are
- Christopher Nolan cements himself as the best director or all time.
- Cillian Murphy just absolutely was the perfect person for the role and exceeded expectations.
- Incredible ensemble cast
- Slow start, kinda slow middle, incredibly intense and powerful and thought provoking final 3rd. But wow. I mean that final 3rd of the movie was remarkable.
- This being a true story is just.. it is just wow.
- The ability to squeeze all of that into just 3 hours was masterful.
- I could have done without the love story with the commie girl but oh well. Seemed irrelevant.
- Not sure where this ranks in terms of historical films, its up there on the Mount Rushmore I am sure. But I am also a prisoner of the moment.
That is a review. ** UPDATE** I completely understand why the love interest with Commie girl was incredibly relevant and recant my number 7.
