This film couldn’t be more relevant right now given where we are with A.I. This movie right here, is an EXCELLENT FUCKING MOVIE. Re-watchable. You will want to tell others to watch it. It’s excellent.
The story follows a young man working for a company owned by like the modern day combo of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. The smartest man tech guy on earth. And he kind of is like the Wizard of Oz. No one has ever met him or seen him in person. Until one day the company offers everyone at the company a chance to meet him with a competition. Winner gets flown to the owners (Oscar Isaac) home to meet.
Flash forward and our main character gets flown in by helicopter to what looks like this insanely advanced and beautiful compound house in some jungle. It’s unclear at first what the young mans purpose for being here is. At first. We learn quickly that the owner has buried himself here in order to create the worlds first completely undetectable moving A.I. robot. That can think and feel and talk and move so well you cannot tell. And our young friend, is the one whose going to interact and find out if this has been done. What starts off as innocent test interactions soon turns into something incredibly more intense and dramatic.
Visuals are beautiful, wonderfully thought provoking, you will feel a lot throughout this movie and you are engaged the whole time. This is just top to bottom an absolute must watch movie. That is a review.
